Can You Recharge an IGET Bar? The Honest Answer
IGET Aus · Updated 8 September 2026
This question gets asked constantly, and most pages answer it badly. Here is the straight version.
Can you recharge an IGET Bar?
No. The classic IGET Bar is a fully sealed disposable. There is no charging port, no removable battery and no way to put power back into it. The battery is sized to outlast the e-liquid, so under normal use the liquid runs out at about the same time the charge does, and the device is finished.
Are IGET Bars rechargeable?
The classic Bar is not. Some other devices in the IGET range are — which is where most of the confusion comes from, because people read charging instructions written for a different model and then go looking for a port that does not exist on theirs.
Check the base of your device. A USB-C port means you have a rechargeable model such as the IGET Bar Pro or the IGET Bar Plus S3. A smooth, sealed base with no port means you have a standard IGET Bar, and no amount of searching will make it chargeable.
How to charge an IGET Bar — what people are really asking
Almost everyone searching this has a Bar that has stopped producing vapour and is hoping a charge will revive it. Usually it will not, because the device is simply spent. The giveaway is taste: a burnt or scorched flavour means the liquid is gone, and that is the end of that device regardless of battery.
If you have a rechargeable model instead, we have a full guide on how to recharge an IGET Bar Pro.
Do not try to force it
Guides that show you how to open a sealed bar, strip a cable or touch wires to a battery are dangerous, and we will not repeat them. Lithium cells in sealed disposables have no charging circuit protecting them from that treatment. They can overheat, vent or catch fire, and you would be holding it. It is not worth it to save the cost of one device.
How to tell when your IGET Bar is actually finished
Three signs, in the order you usually notice them. The vapour thins out first and each draw feels weaker than it did. The taste turns dry or scorched next, which means the wick is no longer being fed. And finally the device stops responding to a draw at all. Once you hit the burnt taste, stop using it — there is nothing left to gain and it is unpleasant.
My IGET Bar stopped working straight out of the packet
It happens occasionally and it is usually one of two simple things. Check that both silicone caps have been removed — one sits on the mouthpiece and one covers the airflow at the base, and a device with the base plug still in will not draw properly. If that is not it, try a firmer, slower draw: these are draw-activated, and a short sharp puff sometimes will not trigger the sensor.
If neither works and the device is genuinely dead on arrival, contact us with your order number rather than trying to open it. We deal with it.
Which IGET vapes are rechargeable?
Two options, both stocked and both shipping same day. The IGET Bar Plus S3 is the rechargeable pod system — you keep the device and swap a flavour pod when you want a change, which works out far better value if you like rotating flavours. The IGET Bar Pro is the rechargeable flagship and lasts the longest of the range.
Want a device you can actually recharge? Both the IGET Bar Plus S3 and the IGET Bar Pro charge over USB-C, and both are in stock now.

FAQs
Can you recharge an IGET Bar?
No. The classic IGET Bar is a sealed disposable with no charging port and no removable battery. Once the e-liquid is spent the device is finished.
Are IGET Bars rechargeable?
The classic IGET Bar is not. The IGET Bar Pro and the IGET Bar Plus S3 are rechargeable over USB-C.
How do I know if my IGET device is rechargeable?
Look at the base. A USB-C port means it is rechargeable. A smooth sealed base with no port means it is a disposable.
My IGET Bar tastes burnt. Will charging fix it?
No. A burnt taste means the e-liquid is spent. Charging cannot fix that, and on a sealed Bar it is not possible anyway.
